On the afternoon of January 6, 2025, at the National Convention Center, Phongsupthavy Group Co., Ltd., together with the Agricultural Promotion Bank Co., Ltd., presented a grant of 5,000,000,000 Kip (Five Billion Kip) to the fund for promoting commercial production in the Lao PDR. The contribution was received on behalf of the government by Mr. Buakhong Nammavong, Minister and Head of the Prime Minister’s Office, and presented by Mr. Phongsavath Senaphuan, Chairman of Phongsavath Group Co., Ltd. and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Promotion Bank Co., Ltd. The ceremony was highly honored by the presence of His Excellency Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, alongside several cabinet ministers who witnessed the event, including Mr. Vilayvong Bouddakham, Minister of Home Affairs; Mr. Santiphab Phomvihane, Minister of Finance; Mr. Malaithong Kommasith, Minister of Industry and Commerce; and Dr. Linkham Douangsavanh, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. The purpose and objective of establishing this fund are to support and strengthen local enterprises for sustainable growth. Specifically, it aims to boost business operations, services, and the domestic production of Lao brands in terms of both quantity and quality to enable exports. Furthermore, this initiative is part of implementing the resolution on building an independent and self-reliant economy in the new era. The government affirmed that the contributed funds will be utilized with maximum efficiency and strictly in accordance with the set objectives to ensure the continuous growth of the fund.
